THE BLACK OLIVE (Jimmy Carl Black/Sandro Oliva) - Months before he joined the Grandmothers, italian guitar player Sandro Oliva recorded a couple of Zappa covers for a project album with rock legend Jimmy Carl Black (as the Black Olive). The songs were arranged by Sandro Oliva and recorded in his studio (Jim on drums, lead vocals and whistling, Sandro on everything else). After Sandro joined the Grandmothers, the project was abandoned, and a rough mix of the two songs was released later by Jimmy
